I wanted to share a quick teaser post from a photo shoot back in 2016. It’s not very often I have time to actually execute some of my personal photo concepts. It’s not always an issue of time but many of my visions require a larger budget than I can afford. This shot was from a concept that fortunately didn’t cost too much to create, even though we built the whole set in studio
As of today, we are now located at Studio 404 – 404 York Rd. Guelph. We are currently closed today but we will be back on Monday to start working in our new space. I owe a HUGE thank you to Ross Davidson-Pilon the owner and newly retired photographer of Studio 404 for opening-up the space to us to run our business out of.
On the rarest of occasions, I get asked to shoot a wedding. Friends come to me and ask “I know you don’t normally do weddings… but, will you shoot ours?”. In most cases, I say yes but, I also explain that I won’t be the typical wedding photographer they might be looking for. Usually the response is “We don’t care, we love your work and we just want to work with you!” The conversation I had with Jessie and Crystal prior to their wedding was quite similar to that.
Back again for round two of sponsoring Guelph Pride 2016! We had so much fun last year and have been very excited all year long for the return of the event! There are a lot of new events being hosted this year and tons of new volunteers. Every year the Pride Council works really hard to bring the community a wide variety of events that everyone can attend.
Every now and then I get some spare time to work on some small concepts. Most of my work tends to be client based but I originally started taking photos based on my passion to create. It has been a long time since I worked on a project developed by me. One day, towards the end of 2015, I decided I wanted to change that and work on some more personal projects for 2016.
It’s been 2 weeks since GAIN Music hosted their annual festival, this year being titled as “GAIN Music Arts Festival”. This was the 6th time they have hosted this festival and every year it continues to grow. This year Nik and his business partner Bilay, took on the ambitious task of filling many of downtown Guelph’s bars, and Cafés with live entertainment, comedy, and art.
