On the rarest of occasions, I get asked to shoot a wedding. Friends come to me and ask “I know you don’t normally do weddings… but, will you shoot ours?”. In most cases, I say yes but, I also explain that I won’t be the typical wedding photographer they might be looking for. Usually the response is “We don’t care, we love your work and we just want to work with you!” The conversation I had with Jessie and Crystal prior to their wedding was quite similar to that.
Every now and then I get some spare time to work on some small concepts. Most of my work tends to be client based but I originally started taking photos based on my passion to create. It has been a long time since I worked on a project developed by me. One day, towards the end of 2015, I decided I wanted to change that and work on some more personal projects for 2016.
Back in February, I was booked for a boudoir shoot with an old co-worker. She had lost a lot of weight and was very proud and excited to get some photographs done of her feeling her best. I feel like a lot of people don’t always understand Boudoir Photography. Most seem to think it’s something you only do for your partner at Valentines Day, Anniversary or Wedding. But, in my opinion, Boudoir Photography is first meant for you!
It’s the end of 2015 and I must say it has been an amazing year for us. Our business has grown rapidly in the first full-time year and are looking forward to everything the new year will bring. With a 2016 on the way, we feel it’s important to not only revamp things a bit but also add to our business.
It’s Friday the 13th and what better way to celebrate than sharing a teaser poster for the sequel to Canadian sci-fi horror “Anti-Social” – Black Fawn Films and Breakthrough Entertainment.
Always a pleasure to work with Black Fawn Films and definitely owe them a big thank you for all the awesome photo opportunities! I highly recommend you head over to their site and check out some of the past and upcoming projects @ www.blackfawnfilms.com
Every month we have a few very unique events we sponsor and last month we were lucky enough to sponsor the very first Hair Competition and Fashion Show to come through downtown Guelph! I was truly “blown” away by the incredible talent that was present in the room and it was an honor to be apart of it.
Lots of updates from the past 2 weeks. Let’s start with some behind the scenes photos from “The Demolisher” Movie. Last week, Latefox Pictures came to my studio to film a few scenes. Every time I am on set for this film I become more and more excited to see it completed. Set to release for 2015, lots of promo is happening now so be sure to follow their Facebook page for regular updates.
I’ve been excited for this announcement. After working with Black Fawn Distribution at Fan Expo I was asked to come shoot a cover for one of their upcoming films, “The Door”. This was a unique photo opportunity for me and I had a blast shooting it. The cover image was edited by Silent Q Design, styling & assisting on set was Chad Archibald, Director of the film, Patrick McBrearty and of course our model and the star of the film Alys Crocker.
