December as always is mostly filled up with lots of exciting event photography jobs. One of the highlighted events of the month for me was a fundraiser last week hosted by YEAA Shorts…On December 18th I headed down to Toronto for a last minute photo gig with YEAA Shorts (Young Emerging Actors Assembly – ACTRA Toronto)
2 weeks ago I was in Toronto for 2 days shooting at Toronto BJJ – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) academy. In the last few months, I have been working several different types of kickboxing events and working with many different gyms. It’s funny how it all happened really, I am not a fighter and never really been interested in fighting.
Lots of updates from the past 2 weeks. Let’s start with some behind the scenes photos from “The Demolisher” Movie. Last week, Latefox Pictures came to my studio to film a few scenes. Every time I am on set for this film I become more and more excited to see it completed. Set to release for 2015, lots of promo is happening now so be sure to follow their Facebook page for regular updates.
I’ve been excited for this announcement. After working with Black Fawn Distribution at Fan Expo I was asked to come shoot a cover for one of their upcoming films, “The Door”. This was a unique photo opportunity for me and I had a blast shooting it. The cover image was edited by Silent Q Design, styling & assisting on set was Chad Archibald, Director of the film, Patrick McBrearty and of course our model and the star of the film Alys Crocker.
It’s been pretty crazy around here lately. I have worked several events over the last few weeks and I am falling a little behind on posts. On the weekend I shot another kickboxing and K1 fight. Second time working that style of event and it was a ton of fun. Here is a small collection of some of my personal favorites from the fights.
It’s been a few weeks since Fan Expo and if you’ve been on facebook you may of already seen some of these images floating around. You can see all the images on facebook at www.facebook.com/blackfawndistribution. Here is a bunch of images I have put together. Fan Expo was an amazing experience and had a blast working the 4 days! Can’t wait to do it again.
