Wow! What an amazing few weeks it has been. So much I can’t wait to share with you but some of it will have to wait a few days. In the meantime, I would like to go back to a recent shoot of mine. I shared a teaser photo for my shoot with Kelsey and Katelyn which was inspired by Bohemian Fashion. Now I would like to share the rest of the set and a briefing of the day.
Back in July we had discussed putting this shoot together, the main thing for me was finding 2 girls who were familiar with each other enough to have a good time working together. I really wanted to keep things natural and have both of them sort of go about their day as if we weren’t event there. For two girls with next to no modeling experience, I think we made a very good choice.
There were a few challenges that the day brought on, I was hoping for a nice sunny summer day but definitely got the opposite, overcast, cold and honestly was expecting a downpour of rain. Fortunately, I had an awesome crew working with me and we managed to accomplish what we had set out to do aside from the regular struggles of outdoor photography… MOTHER NATURE. All the photos were shot with a mixture of natural light and flash. After the shoot, I brought everything into Photoshop to achieve the “Summer Day” feel that I originally wanted to capture in camera.
